Hepatitis

Hepatitis involves damage to the liver characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in liver tissue. Etymologically, it derives from the greek hepar or hepato = liver, itis = inflammation.
The condition may be limited to itself and heal itself, or it can move forward, injuring the liver.
Hepatitis is acute when it lasts less than 6 months and chronic if it persists for longer. May be several causes hepatitis. May be asymptomatic until they scratch the functions of the liver.

HEPATITIS
Cause:
Acute hepatitis
Viral: hepatitis A to E (about 95% are viral in nature), herpes simplex, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr, yellow fever, adenovirus
No viral infection: toxoplasma, Leptospira, Q fever, fever maculosa Rocky Mountain
Alcohol
Toxins: amanitina in mushrooms, carbon tetracloride, asafetida
Drugs: paracetamol, medicines for TB, etc..
Circulatory failure
Pregnancy
Autoimmune disorders (such as systemic lupus erimatoso)
Metabolic disorders (such as Wilson disease)

Chronic hepatitis
Viral: hepatitis B with or without hepatitis D, hepatitis C (A and E do not lead to a chronic disease)
Autoimmune: Autoimmune hepatitis
Alcohol
Drugs: alpha-methyldopa, nitrofurantoin, etc..
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis
Inheritance: Wilson disease, Wilson's disease, deficiency of alpha 1-antitrypsin
Primary biliary cirrhosis and primary sclerosing colangite (at times seem to chronic hepatitis)
Signs and symptoms:

Acute hepatitis
often asymptomatic in younger people
symptoms similar to influence non-specific as malaise, muscular and articular pains, fever, vomiting, diarrhea and headache,
loss of appetite, aversion to smoking in smokers, dark urine, yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice) and abdominal discomfort

Chronic hepatitis
asymptomatic or slight symptoms at the beginning
jaundice
abdominal fullness due to enlargement of the liver or spleen, slight fever and fluid retention
leads to liver damage, weight loss, tendency to bleeding and bruising to the formation of

TYPES OF HEPATITIS

Hepatitis A:
or infectious jaundice
caused by a picornavirus
transmission: fecal-oral route, and spreads through contact between people, eating raw fish or drinking contaminated water
causes a form of acute hepatitis and does not lead to the chronic stage
those who suffer should be at rest, stay hydrated and avoid alcohol
between infection and the onset of the disease can move between 15 to 45 days
the vaccine is available

Hepatitis B:
caused d hepadnavirus
can be both acute and chronic
transmission: blood (transfusions, even if now rare), tattoos, sexually, in uteri (from mother to fetus, the virus crosses the placenta)
the vaccine is available

Hepatitis C:
also known as hepatitis non-A non-B
caused by flaviviruses
transmission: blood (including sexually)
can lead  epatite chronic and result in cirrhosis
can remain asymptomatic for 10-20 years
there is no vaccine

Hepatitis B with D:
caused by an RNA virus (hepatitis D), a satellite subvirale since it propagates only in the presence of hepatitis B virus
transmission: either via simultaneous infection with hepatitis B, or as individual infection of an individual already suffering from hepatitis B
leads to more complications than  epatite B alone
with great probability leads to acute liver failure nell'infezione and cancer of the liver in chronic cases

Hepatitis E:
produces symptoms similar  epatite A
may have a fulminant course, especially during pregnancy

Hepatitis F (unknown)
hypothetical virus

Hepatitis G
probably spread by blood or sexually

Other viruses:

of Epstein-Barr virus
other herpes virus

Alcoholic hepatitis:
usually strikes after a period of increased consumption of alcohol
malaise, enlarged liver, fluid in the abdomen ascites, and modest elevation in liver blood tests
acute inflammation of the liver with the development of jaundice, liver failure
can affect patients with chronic disease alcoholic cirrhosis and alcoholic
